Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is the owner of the domain d.is, based in Iceland. You can reach us through the contact form on the front page.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. It loads no fonts, scripts or images from third parties. Nothing is stored on your device, so there is no cookie banner.

What we collect and why

When you send the offer form, we receive the name, email address, company, offer amount and message you enter. We use this only to reply to your inquiry and, if we agree, to complete the sale of the domain.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in answering inquiries about the domain). You don't have to use the form, but without contact details we can't reply.

Server logs

Like every website, the hosting provider briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and protect it against abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We don't use this data to identify you.

Who processes the data for us

We never sell or share your data for marketing.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that don't lead to a sale are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact. If a sale is completed, records are kept as long as Icelandic bookkeeping law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy in a portable format. Just send a request through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd, or the authority in your own country.
